Billing

Everything about how we bill you

Alta Ignite is a monthly subscription billed to a card on file. This page is the plain English version of what the Terms describe in more legal language. If anything here contradicts the Terms, the Terms win, but we do our best to keep the two in step.

When you get charged

On the day you complete signup, and then on the same day every month after that. If your signup day does not exist in a given month, the first billable day of the following month is used instead. There is never a surprise charge outside that cadence.

Where to find your invoices

Every invoice is delivered by email as a PDF and is also available inside the client dashboard under Billing. Invoices show the plan, the billing period, VAT if applicable, and the last four digits of the card charged. If you need historical invoices reissued with different company details, email billing@altaignite.com.

VAT and taxes

We are VAT registered in the EU. Business customers with a valid VAT number are reverse charged. Individual and non EU customers are charged the applicable rate for their location. VAT numbers can be added or updated inside the dashboard at any time and take effect on the next invoice.

Changing plan

  • Upgrade: takes effect immediately, with a prorated top up on the next invoice.
  • Downgrade: takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep everything on the higher tier until then.
  • Pause: stops all future charges and revision work but keeps the site online. Up to sixty days per calendar year at no cost.

Failed payments

If a card fails, we retry three times over five days and email you before every retry. During that window the site stays live and revisions continue as normal. If all retries fail we email you before doing anything visible to your visitors, and we never take a site down on a Friday.

Refunds

Within the first thirty days of your first subscription you can cancel for any reason and get a full refund of that month. After the first month, refunds are considered case by case and we default to being generous when a mistake was on our side. Prorated refunds on cancellation outside the money back window are not standard because month to month billing already keeps the commitment small.

Payment methods

All major cards through Stripe, and SEPA direct debit for EU business customers on annual plans. Bank transfer available for enterprise accounts on request. We do not accept cryptocurrency.
