Cookie policy
Last updated January 2026. We keep the cookie list intentionally small, because we do not run ad networks and we do not sell attention.
1. What a cookie actually is
A cookie is a small text file that your browser stores on your device when you visit a website. Some cookies are essential to make a website function, some remember choices you have made, and some are used by third parties to track you across the wider internet for advertising. We only use the first two categories, and everything below explains which cookies land in each bucket and why.
2. Essential cookies
These cookies are required to run the site, keep you signed in when you visit your dashboard, remember which theme you have chosen, and process payments securely. Because they are required to deliver the service you asked for, they do not need consent under most privacy regimes, but we still list them here so nothing is hidden. Turning them off will break sign in, checkout and the dashboard.
3. Privacy friendly analytics
We run aggregated, privacy friendly analytics to understand which pages help people the most and which ones quietly confuse them. Our analytics provider does not use third party cookies, does not track individuals across sites, and does not build behavioural profiles. IP addresses are anonymised at the edge before they reach us. You can opt out of analytics collection from the cookie banner or from your browser settings.
4. What we do not use
We do not run advertising cookies. We do not embed pixels from ad networks. We do not sell traffic data to third parties. There is no invisible retargeting layer following you around after you leave. The reason we can be direct about this is that our whole business runs on subscriptions from a small number of long term customers rather than on volume traffic, so the incentives that push most websites into heavy tracking simply do not apply to us.
5. Your choices
You can disable non essential cookies from the banner shown on your first visit, or from your browser settings at any time. The core service will continue to work if you decline analytics. If you would like a full list of the specific cookies set on any given page, email privacy@altaignite.com and we will send it.
6. Changes to this policy
If the cookie list ever changes materially, we will update this page and notify active customers by email. The latest version is always the one you are reading.
