Privacy policy

1. Who we are

Alta Ignite Limited is the data controller for personal data collected through this website and the subscription product. You can reach our privacy team at privacy@altaignite.com, and any request lands with a real human, not an automated ticket system.

2. What we collect

Account details you give us during signup, such as your name, business name, email address and time zone. Billing information handled by our payment processor Stripe, which stores your card details on its own PCI compliant infrastructure rather than ours. Communication history from your emails, support tickets and dashboard messages, which we retain so we can answer follow up questions without asking you to repeat yourself. Technical logs required to operate the service, including IP addresses, browser type, request timings, and error traces. That is essentially the full list.

3. Why we collect it

To provide and improve the service you signed up for. To process billing and honour refund windows. To protect the service against abuse, fraud and security incidents. To communicate with you about your account, changes to the product, and occasional company news, which you can opt out of at any time. To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations. We do not use your data for advertising and we do not build behavioural profiles for resale.

4. Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted sub processors to run the business. These currently include Stripe for payments, a cloud hosting provider for infrastructure, an email delivery provider for transactional messages, and a customer support platform for shared inboxes. A current list of sub processors is available on request from privacy@altaignite.com, and we will notify active customers by email at least thirty days before we add or replace any material sub processor.

5. International transfers

Some of our sub processors are based outside the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area. Where that is the case we rely on standard contractual clauses and other lawful transfer mechanisms to keep your data protected to an equivalent standard.

6. How long we keep it

We retain your account data for as long as your subscription is active and for ninety days after cancellation so we can restore your account cleanly if you return. After that window, personal data is deleted from live systems within thirty days and from backups within one further billing cycle, unless we are legally required to retain it for longer (for example for tax records).

7. Your rights

You can request a copy of the personal data we hold on you, ask us to correct anything that is wrong, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to a specific processing activity. Email privacy@altaignite.com and we will respond within thirty days. If you are unhappy with our response you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office in the United Kingdom or your local equivalent.

8. Security

We encrypt data in transit and at rest, run continuous vulnerability scanning against our infrastructure, restrict access to production systems on a strict need to know basis, and require two factor authentication on every internal account. If we ever suffer a personal data breach that affects you, we will notify you promptly with what happened, what we know, and what we are doing about it.

9. Children

The service is not directed at children under sixteen, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone in that age group.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will email active customers at least thirty days before those changes take effect. The latest version is always the one on this page.
