ALTA IGNITE
FAQ

Straight answers before you spend a single penny.

These are the questions we get on almost every first call, in the order they usually come up. If yours is not on the list, send it to hello@altaignite.com and a real person will answer inside one business day. No sales script, no 'let me connect you with the team,' no clumsy attempt to book a discovery call before you get a straight reply. We built this page in the first place because we noticed the same anxious questions kept surfacing at ten at night in Slack messages people did not want to send during business hours, and it felt kinder to put the answers here where you can read them alone before you commit to a call.

Ownership

'Do I really own the site if I'm on a subscription?'

Yes, fully, from the very first commit. The GitHub repository sits in your organisation with your billing details attached. The Figma design files live in your workspace with your team invited as editors. The domain sits on your registrar under your credit card. The hosting is billed to us because it is easier that way, but transferable to your own cloud account with a single email whenever you like. If you cancel tomorrow, everything stays exactly where it was. Most subscription website companies quietly own the platform and rent it back to you, which is why their monthly price is lower on the surface, and why the true cost only becomes obvious the day you try to leave. We built the entire business on the opposite bet. Ownership is not something we grant you after five years of loyalty. It is baked into the file structure from day one, because that is the only real way to prove we mean it.

  • Repo, files and domain in your accounts, not ours
  • Full handover pack maintained continuously, not on exit
  • Hosting transferable in one email whenever you decide
  • Nothing is deleted after cancellation, ever

Cancellation

'What actually happens if I cancel next month?'

You cancel from the dashboard in a single click. The next month is not billed. Your site stays live for the rest of the paid period. Before it ends we send you a written handover pack with the repository link, the design files, the hosting credentials, an environment guide, and a plain English checklist for whoever is taking over next, whether that is another agency, an in house hire, or you personally on a rainy weekend. Nothing is throttled. Nothing is deleted. Nothing is quietly gated behind an urgent phone call from an account manager trying to save the deal. If you come back in six months, we reopen your account, dust off the repo, and pick up from the last revision. Roughly one in twelve of our churned customers eventually returns, and they still find a working site waiting for them because none of the exit process is punitive on purpose.

  • One click cancel, no notice period, no phone call
  • Handover pack sent within 48 hours of cancellation
  • Come back later and we pick straight up, no reonboarding fee
  • Written checklist for whoever is taking over next

Pricing

'How is this cheaper than a freelancer or a big agency?'

A freelancer is cheaper on the first invoice and expensive on every revision after. A big agency is expensive on the first invoice and expensive on every revision after. We are somewhere in the middle on the first invoice and honestly boring on every one that follows. One flat monthly fee covers everything most businesses need for the next twelve months of iteration. If your only requirement is one small site you will never touch again, a freelancer probably is the right answer for you and we will genuinely tell you so on the first call rather than sell you a subscription you do not need. If you plan to keep improving the thing, running experiments, launching new pages, testing offers and generally treating the site like a living surface of the business, we work out significantly cheaper over a year than any other model we have benchmarked ourselves against. Ask us for a straight tier by tier spreadsheet against any named competitor and we will send it, no marketing spin, whether you buy from us or not.

  • Flat monthly, includes hosting and unlimited revisions
  • No per revision change orders, ever
  • Pause or downgrade any month, no penalty
  • Honest benchmark spreadsheets on request, even if you leave

Team & speed

'Who actually does the work and how fast is fast really?'

A named designer and a named developer, both in house, both salaried, both introduced to you on video in week one, both reachable in Slack and email during your working hours. Most revisions ship in 48 hours. Bigger builds ship in weekly cycles. You always know who is doing what because you can literally message them by name. There is no ticket queue in some other timezone, no offshore night shift shipping code you can never review live, no vague 'talent pool' the request bounces around while nobody takes ownership. If your designer goes on holiday you get told a week ahead and introduced to the person covering. If your developer moves teams internally you get told the day it happens. That kind of continuity is what people quietly mean when they say they want a subscription that feels like a real team rather than a rotating freelance marketplace with a monthly bill.

  • One designer, one developer, named and reachable
  • 48 hour turnaround on most revisions
  • Weekly Loom summary so you always know where things stand
  • Real handover if anyone ever changes seats internally

Hosting & reliability

'Where does my site live and what if it actually goes down?'

Your site lives on a global edge network with SSL, daily backups, weekly restore tests, security patching, and 24/7 monitoring. If something moves the wrong way at three in the morning, a human on our on call rota is paged before you notice. If it is a real outage, we publish a short honest post mortem the same week rather than hoping nobody remembers. Every month we publish an uptime report with the raw numbers, not the ones that make us look good. If we ever miss the 99.99% SLA in a month, we credit your account automatically. You do not have to ask. You do not have to catch us out. It is a boring, unglamorous promise and it is the single most important one we make, because a website that is beautiful and slow and offline half of Sunday is honestly no use to anyone.

  • 99.99% uptime SLA, publicly reported every month
  • Automatic account credit if we miss the SLA
  • Daily backups, weekly restore tests, one click revert
  • On call human paged before you notice the outage

Still on the fence? Just ask the question you're actually worried about.
